What does LIGHT mean to you? The name Light Your Life came through in meditation around 2018. This feeling of lightness is what has been guiding me through life more consciously since 2008 - a sensation in the body, the breath of fresh air, and a feeling of expansion in the choices that I was making. Back then as I was training with Access Consciousness and one of their core questions/tools is the light an heavy tool - 'Does it feel light or heavy?' was what they kept asking people. 'Light means there's truth for you and heavy is a lie for you' For me Light Your Life has many meanings from bringing lightness to the darkness, sparking the light in others, illuminating the field with coherence and more. For those that fallen into the trap of 'love and light-ing' as a way to hope the challenges in life go away, I'm more about poking around the dark and the shadowy aspects of self. What is in the unconscious or subconscious that is shaping our choices in life? Recently, a group I am part of invited us to talk about light and what it meant to us. So what a great opportunity to revisit what Light (your life) means to me, so here is a summary:
3. Space, Possibility & Freedom The idea of a lighter way of living also means ease, spaciousness, and freedom. It’s about having more room to breathe, choose, and move in alignment—freedom from inner and outer weight, not through avoidance, but by integrating what is. Light as spaciousness and liberated being. 4. Connection & Coherence My work with sound, toning, and constellations, light is also about harmonic resonance - a kind of coherence within and between people, systems, and fields. There’s an implicit trust in a greater intelligence or field of love, and light plays a part in revealing and attuning to that. Light as harmonic alignment with life and others. 5. Service & Contribution I see light not just as a personal experience, but something to share and embody in the world. My vision of empowered communities, where people feel valued and contribute their gifts, speaks to light as a source of leadership, guidance, and collective upliftment. Light as purpose and shared evolution. And just for fun, I asked chatgpt to summarise this and it asked if I would like this as a poem. So I thought, well sure - what would that look like? and this is what it came back with!
The Light I Know It is not the glare of forced brightness, nor the mask of always being okay-- but the gentle return to what has always been true. It flickers beneath the noise, waiting in silence, a hum in the bones, a pulse in the dark. This light is not earned, it is remembered. Unfolded in stillness, spoken through breath, carried in the voice that trembles but speaks. It is the space where grief meets grace, where the unsaid finds form, and the unseen takes place. Light is not an escape, but an embrace-- of all that was, all that aches, all that longs to be loved into wholeness. It opens doors, softens edges, creates new ground where choice can rise again. I walk with this light. I offer it not as answer but as invitation-- to return, to listen, to rise.
