Light Your Life Values | Honouring Where We Are At

Honour you and your path

Something that has taken me awhile to practice is to honour where I am at and cease comparing my progress with other people's successes. It can be a slippery slope when we compare how we are doing with others or even expecting other people to have the same understanding and outlook as you.

'Am I good enough?'
'How come they are so quick?'
'Why did they get the job?'
'Why don't they see that?'
and so on
.
We don't know the path others have taken or where they are going. We all have a different way of looking at life. There is no 'it' to get or 'there' to be. The intrepid explorer does not need to race to a finish line that does not even exist.

That is what I value now for myself and others. Honouring where we are all at in any given moment. There is no rush or resolution or solution to obtain. I have learnt to soften in my sessions and workshops when I am reminded by this notion.
