I've picked up a few handy tools on my explorations and one creative tool from Access Consciousness is asking a question. Yes - asking a question is actually a tool, and hey look at that -  it's free to use!

When you ask a question without coming to the conclusion or have to think of a logical answer, some interesting things can show up.  What if you don't have to work it all out. 'Let go of the how, when, what and why' and allow yourself to be the space of curiosity!

hmmm what else is possible here?...
So what if things can show up can be waaaaaay beyond what your mind can make up and what you expected?

Questions to ask
After I recorded the first 2 Sonic Tonic Albums, I set them a task to 'go look for the people who are looking for you' and also asked 'I wonder who these sonic tonics can contribute to that will create greater for them?'

I pressed the publish button on Sonic Tonics in November 2018 so it could go out to the world. Then off I toddled and went on with other creative projects.

A month later I get a message from the features director of Fashion Quarterly magazine who was looking to do a piece all about the benefits of healing through sound, and could she pick my brains about it and she'll add my website details in there.

that will be no brainer YES!

Did I ask to be published in NZs glossy magazine? nope. So Sonic Tonics is now reaching more people I never thought possible. 

How does it get any better than that and what else is possible here?

Aqua Gold Copper Alchemy™

I'm really loving the alchemy crystal bowls from Crystal Tones and this was one of the first ones I bought from fellow sound healer Annie (Higher Realms) who is also a distributor for Crystal Tones in NZ. It's probably a good thing she only brings a few in at a time to save creating a dent in my bank balance as they are delicious to play but also classed as the 'Rolls Royce' of the crystal bowls out there the $price tag goes along with that too. 

They claim that they have "a unique patented manufacturing process which is available ONLY with their bowls". They certainly do sound different to other crystal bowls I have in my collection as you only have to tap it gently and it rings out what seems like forever. This particular one wanted to come home with me after Annie helpfully guided me through the new imports at that time.

This alchemy bowl is made out of aqua infused with gold and copper. It's also known as the 'consciousness conductor' due to its properties and that it certainly seems to be.  Most associated the aqua with the throat chakra and communication, gold with alchemy and transformation and copper with conduction.  So it seemed a perfect companion for me with the work I do with my voice. Annie only told me this information after I selected the bowl intuitively. 

This alchemy bowl has been in many of my sound baths as well as one to one sessions. I sometimes tone with it, sing with it and sometimes not.  I sense different light beings and codes come through when it's played on it's own. 

For several clients I noticed that it wanted to be placed in the upper left side of the client when they were laying down and perceived a golden thread connection being created and/or strengthened. This happened for a few months, then it changed again. 

It's interesting collaborating with all the sound instruments I have, whether it singing on it's own or together it seems to be perfect for that moment for that person or persons. Sometimes it does not want to be played. They certainly let you know when they are ready to move on. And this one...well there's a lot more play to be had together!

I will be posted more about the other instruments I use now. I wonder what other instruments I can collaborate with that will be joyous and fun?

Kia ora and welcome to Light your Life! To this space, place and reality. This is part of my world. I am the explorer of consciousness of all there is.  

Evolving
This online portal has been through many different forms as I evolve and expand my inner world, so does my outer world and offerings.

A few of you who have been following my journey from the start may have noticed many changes, re-brands and refinements and rebirths of my offerings over the years.  Not only going back to my Chinese name Yee Ley early this year in 2017 after being called Lily my entire life, changes have been gently (edit: radically) taking place with my website, my belief systems, where I live, my partners, my circle of friends, goodness, even my wardrobe has had a major make-over!!  

Conscious beginnings
It was in 2011 that I came out of the so called 'spiritual' closet with the birth of the 'Lil-star' brand offering Reiki sessions and classes with the tag line flavour of that moment 'Helping you Find your Inner Peace'.  This was me in London; back then a sought after IT Business Analyst who was ready for the next exciting adventure. I had many clients come see me at my tiny home London clinic where I also held meditation classes whilst still holding down the 'office job' for 3-days a week.  It was fun to have the variety as I also dabbled in photography and played touch-rugby in the local area. I also hosted and collaborated with a few other people in the healing sphere too - a theme which seems to have carried through to my work today.

In the background I indulged in spiritual classes and workshops with the desire to be a clearer and better version of myself. A new healing theme emerged around freeing my inner-voice and so sound came into my life in a BIG way.

'Continual refinement of the self' is one way to look at life and is what I subscribe to. In 2013 my inner-compass guided me to an around the world adventure, what some call a soul-retrieval quest as I visited certain places and spaces to help me remember and receive and perceive more of me.  I was told I was 'planting many seeds of light' around the globe.  I thought I was learning about organic farming & sustainable living to be honest as my way of moving out of the mortgage loop. But nonetheless it was a great adventure of fun and laughter for sure, whether I was planting seeds of light or not, I received more of who I be for sure and still continue allow myself to do so today.

The move to NZ
After my year long travel it was clear that New Zealand was to be my new home. It was calling me to come over and so I made the move to the land of the long white cloud in 2014. Being welcomed with opened arms the move to New Zealand was easy. Saying goodbye to my friends was not so easy as I was saying goodbye to a my old life in many ways. But thanks to the internet, I am able to stay connected to loved ones.

The travel experience and move of homes prompted a re-brand of my offerings. I wanted to integrate all that I had explored and my inner-voice work was also getting stronger. 

What if everything and anything already exists and it's just up to us to just choose it? ​

The Lil-star brand changed with a new tag line flavour of 'Exploring the infinite ways of being and creating you'.  Bit of a mouth full! But that's what I began to realise was my theme of my life. Well it can be for everyone else. Explore life. Life is there to explore. We are everything, not any ONE thing!  I perceived the notion 'we are infinite beings' on a whole new level.  It finally dawned on me that What if everything and anything ALREADY exists and it's just up to us to choose it? 

What is it we are all choosing and is it working for us?  How about that? So there's a lot to explore my friends!!!

Letting go of Lily and Lil*star
As the traveller and explorer of all there is, you get used to packing up, setting up, packing down, letting go and saying a lot of goodbyes, shedding a lot of tears as well as welcoming many new hello's and belly laughters on all levels. Letting go included dear friends, to belief systems and self created identities one of which was Lily.

Lily is who I have been called since birth for 41 years, but ironically it's not on my birth certificate. Yee Ley Lau is my birth name and no-one has ever called me by that name until now (2017). My parents called me Lily as a way to help integrate into UK life and it was a Chinese trend to have an 'English' name.  So long story short a French gypsy traveller had a look at my palm and ran some numbers through my name, he said Yee Ley was more appropriate for my life path as it held the vibration of 'awakening'.  Yeah I'll take that!  So ta dah....in early 2017 I made the transition from Lily to Yee Ley! Then oh my, everything in my life re-shuffled to align with that vibration.

Lil*star did not make sense anymore as that was a play on the name Lily. So here we go again with another re-brand and a re-shuffle of my offerings. Yee Ley Lau with Light Your Life.  

Light Your Life
One of the learnings of the explorer is to travel light. Taking unnecessary items with you physically and metaphorically is just well, too darn difficult, inconvenient and heavy! Always seeking the lighter path, the lighter choice is what I have been learning to do and getting better at and I'd like to share those tools with you.  I'm liking making choices that are fun, light and easy. And there are so many ways to do and be that light.

Hence 'Light Your Life' - is the flavour for now.  What can you do or be that lights your life? 

Light can be interpreted in so many ways from the physical sensations to bringing in more pure divine light into your life and yourselves and your cells.

Light is a form of energy
Light is both obvious and mysterious 
Light can make things visible
Light can illuminate, and ignite
What else?
What ways can you lighten your own life? 

What to expect and not?
So with all of the above, I have to tell you now that being an explorer means that I travel here, there and anywhere in any given moment in all senses of the world. I've been told that I'm in my Aquarian phase of life after being in 30 years of practical grounding analytical Capricorn.  This new phase which apparently I've been in for 10 years already, brings a theme of being fluid and going with the flow and bringing about a new ways of living and being that contributes and uplifts universal consciousness. 

If you are looking for regular classes at the same location, and monthly top 5 life hack blogs, and multi-tiered training workshops, that's not me anymore. 

I ride on the infinite waves of consciousness exploring itself and create expressions when the moment is ripe.   I rendezvous with who is ready to meet me there. So what to expect with Light Your Life are moments created for you to explore more of who you be.  I facilitate the space of possibilities, a place for you to dare yourself to go beyond what you know and bring through your potent capacities and creative expressions without judgement.

No fancy dancy certificates to give out, no hierarchy levels of ability to achieve, no heady analytical stuff.

I first experienced 'live' channeling back in 2010 where I attended a channel evening session with Paul McCarthy, a channel for star beings and star masters. I had seen a few channels on youtube and found some quite interesting as their voice and body changes with the different energies, and some are quite 'neutral' as they maintain their own 'voice tone' relaying messages to individuals and groups like Paul.

At the 'live' channelling event was where I actually perceived the energies as he called in different beings...Sananda, Archangel Michael and then whoosh...a surge of energy came through which had my eyes leaking. The Pleiadians. Blimey! What was that all about? My friend handed me a tissue and had that 'ooh that's interesting' expression on his face. 'Perhaps you recognise that energy?' he offered as I wiped my uncontrollable tears away.  'huh?' whaddya mean?

Some people perceive that these types of 'reactions' are triggers of rememberance to another part of ourselves as the energies seem familiar to us. A long forgotten cellular memory perhaps being 'switched on'.  All I know was that after that event, I had feelings of wanting to go 'home' which was not earth and questioning what the heck I was doing here on 'earth'. Really I chose this? (haha - I'm sure you all have not had that thought hey?)

Well as you can see, I chose to stay here and commit to being here! I explored channelling for myself and went on the courses that Paul offered. I learnt (or remembered) how to bring through different energies like he does and explore what messages would come through for our peers as our practice. All of which were quite healing as the energies themselves would 'uplift' us in some way.

I always questioned though if these 'beings' were really 'real'? (oh gosh that old question, what is reality?) We were guided to be aware of who we were channelling and always question who they were and perceive what our own truths are when we made our 'connections'. I went through phases of channelling lots of messages for myself and others, then stopped for awhile, as I questioned the messages that were coming through.

It's us really isn't it?
A question I always have when I am channelling. Through my exploration of consciousness, I am aware of Jungian archetypes and perhaps we are channelling or giving messages through as these archetypes. What would our 'Angelic' part of ourselves advise? Or our 'warrior' selves say? Or the 'wise monk' in us recommend we do?

Some people may call it 'their higher selves' which always had me question, what is that? What is your higher self really? Is it an aspect of yourself you don't always listen to and just call in when you're feeling a bit blugh with your everyday self?

What resonates with you?

Infinite beings
'There is not anyone or any thing you have not been or done in any life time' - the phrase I heard over and over again from Gary Douglas, founder of Access Consciousness this year on the level 2/3 course in Auckland.

Oh cor blimey gov...an big awareness penny dropped! oh! Wow, we as infinite beings can function from any space and in any form including the rocks and trees! Where are we choosing to function from? He also offers that 'our points of view create our reality' That seems to resonate with me.

Indeed what story or stories are we creating for ourselves? What role are we playing here? Not only the roles of victim, perpetrator, antagonist, superior bitch, whistle blower, activist, healer, mother, brother, teacher etc but all the other roles in this infinite space. You know those beings you perhaps perceived as beings out there, the elementals, the star beings, the inner earth beings, the angelics etc.

Hellooooo!? What will it take to receive and acknowledge all 'parts' of ourselves now? Actually what will it take for us to acknowledge we are infinite beings and not in 'parts'?

We are only bound by the rules we adhere to.  Yes indeedy, and that includes dimensions! (huh - sharp intake of breath!). Are dimensions another belief system and set of rules we are limiting ourselves to? 

Oh where does that leave us? Well, with lots of choices and options - you know like INFINITE choices and options to explore!

Well that's what I am doing now...exploring the infinite ways of being and creating my life

Where am I going with this? 
So back to the channelling.  It occurred to me that the 'channelling' is another way of acknowledging more aspects of myself and tapping into my knowing, as I do with sounding. It's the same process for me as I 'channel' through sounds.   Exploring more sounds and asking for more of me to show up seems to create the space for others to do the same. These energies can 'switch on' some things in other people if they choose to receive too.
