"...I wholeheartedly encourage everyone to release the grasp of their rational, thinking mind and allow themselves to be transformed by the magic carpet ride that is Yee Ley's Sound Bath." ~ Leisa Harford, Wellington, New Zealand
"...Yee Ley's amazing voice and instruments take over. My eyes are leaking. My body feels as if it's sinking into the mat. What's going on? Oh, maybe I actually relaxed." - Sue Dudman, Reporter, Whanganui Chronicle.

What happens in a session?
Participants are usually laying down fully clothed on a yoga mat and supported with comfortable cushions and head-rests and wrapped up in a blanket in the cooler months. Participants can also be seated if that is more comfortable for the person. The session opens with a guided meditation to create synergy of the groups energies. Sound-scapes are created using various instruments and Yee Ley's voice themed according to the group dynamics.

How will I feel during a sound-immersion?
Everyone is different and so will have a their own unique experience. The most common sensations people report is that they feel more relaxed, and that they feel lighter during and after a session and that they were able to release the 'monkey-mind' they have not been able to do when they meditate on their own. I have had people report that they were able to release deep emotions with ease and for some, relieve some aches and pains they had been experiencing prior to coming to the session. Some people tell me they have received some profound insights that have helped them on their healing journey. I recommend that people have an intention for the sound-immersion, even if that is to enjoy the sounds. Most people use it as a way to meditate and relax. I never know how it is going to show up for people in a session, but I always intend that I be a contribution to each an every person in the group. How much ease and lightness will it create for you? |
"My daughter and I were mesmerized by Yee Ley's amazing ability to create the most incredible soundscape. It will be a regular event in our diary." ~ Debbie Gregory, Hawkes Bay

The sound bath session can last for about 1 hour to 1 hour 30 mins (including guided meditation into and out of the session). So it is important that you are comfortable for the duration of the session.* What do I require?
